REGULAR DJEMBE

This course emphasises the development of basic traditional West African djembe drumming skills.

It is an exploratory first course in djembe drumming that is carefully designed for children planning to master the art and language of djembe drumming.

 

 

OUR UNIQUE TEACHING STRATEGIES:

  • We develop individual students’ drumming skills through traditional African games.

  • We have a group learning session in each lesson to enhance students’ interpersonal skills and collaborative skills.

  • We organise an end-of-course performance to showcase students’ achievements, as well as building up their confidence and self-esteem.

Examinations (from Level 1 to 7) are conducted by Esengo annually.
